Our Heritage

From a student spark to a lasting movement

Project Makeover originated in 2008 when visionary Gator students recognized that learning surroundings deeply shape children's enthusiasm and confidence. What started with brushes and paint on a single weekend grew into a cherished collegiate tradition.

Today, Project Makeover UF continues this legacy by uniting hundreds of volunteers, local partners, and campus builders to transform deserving schools across the community with murals, gardens, and customized Dream Projects.

Our Annual Commitment

One school campus. One weekend. Hundreds of caring hands.

Every spring, student leaders collaborate with elementary educators to design murals, landscape active grounds, and bring the school's signature Dream Project into reality.
